Overuse of Perfumes in Products – Concern when Hunting & Fishing
Anyone remember this scene in Home Improvement ice fishing? lol
Saw this in the Detroit Free Press other day... While Dr. Roach said these chemical scents from dryer sheets and air fresheners could be considered carcinogens, he still kind of downplayed the topic suggesting these scents dissipate and have to be ingested at high dosages to lead to cancer, but what if you're wearing multiple scents on your body on a daily basis every day? I think some of these people are nuts using these multiple scents from all these products... They have a scent in their fabric softner, scent in their dryer sheets, scent in their standard perfume, scent in their deodorant, scent in their soap, scent in their shampoo, scent in their car, scents and sprays in their house. These people walk by me when I'm fishing and they smell to high heaven, even on a North Wind on St. Clair blowing at 20mph, they wreak!!! The whole point of hunting was to be scent free, ever since then, that was my goal...
I even tend to use Thai Crystal Deodorant that is more natural and scent free, doesn't have all the aluminum... I think people are brainwashed by these companies thinking they need a scent in everything... Even garbage bags these days are scented! It reminds me how our day to day food products are now laced with loads of sugar and carbs... They've convinced us meat(fat) is bad and processed foods with sugars and carbs is good! Something to think about living your day to day life, especially if you fish and hunt, wearing any unnatural scent or perfume is definitely a big concern, just like what you eat!
Great documentary to watch...
